RESUME

1977. Started painting classes at Emilio Hidalgo studio in Maracay, Venezuela.

1978 Took part in a collective  painting show at Juan Vicente Bolivar High School, Maracay.

1979- Participated in Creole Painters Collective in Turmero.

1984- Won second prize in annual  Painting Contest at Pequiven  Petroleum and Chemical  Company in El Palito.

1986- Won Honor prize at tenth annual Painting Contest in Guacara.

1986- Won first prize in first annual painting contest at IUPEMAR (teacher's university)  Maracay  with two  impressionist landscapes.

1987- Took part in the eleventh Tito Salas Art Contest and  Collective, sponsored by the Trade and  Industries Association of Maracay.

1987- Took part in seventh annual painting and graphics arts contest 
of  the Municipal Council of Girardot district in Maracay, Venezuela.

1988- Took part in the fourth Visual Arts Biennial in Cagua.

1989- Made first  individual painting exhibit at the Hispanic Club in Valencia.

1997- After a break, in which the artist received a degree in law from  Carabobo University,  he renewed his artistic career ,  participating in  the twenty second National Art Contest at the Contemporary Art Museum of Maracay.

1998- Second individual display named "Between the Vain and the Sacred" at the Campo Elias Palace  la Victoria.

Luis Daniel Malave  was born in Maracay, Venezuela on Sept. 23, 1960.
